WHY DAYCARE?

No one likes to leave their dog home alone, especially if they are the kind of pup to get bored, chew or get themselves into trouble. Wag Club is an indoor daycare facility that provides open-play in a supervised, clean and safe environment for your pup to socialize while you work, brunch or run errands! A well-socialized and well-exercised dog makes for a happier, more well-behaved dog both out and about in the city and at home. Daycare is great for pups who need to get their zoomies out and who like to play with other pups. It can also be a great place for dogs to learn how to play and be around other dogs, even if they are the type that just like to lounge around. It's also great for teaching pups to share resources like water and toys.

WHY WAG CLUB? OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY.

Evaluation: Each pup must pass a Temperament Test in order to attend daycare. This Temp Test includes Vaccination Confirmation, review of history and health, and an evaluation of your pup in our open-play environment with other dogs of different sizes, ages and personalities. Generally, Wag Club is best suited for strong, healthy and confident dogs that are at least 4 months old and not older than 10 years of age. ALL DOGS are required to be spayed or neutered by 7 months old in order to attend. Please note: We are a small dog daycare and can only accommodate dogs that are 30 lbs and under.

Cleaning Procedures: Our Daycare is sanitized daily from top to bottom using dog-safe cleaning procedures and products to reduce the spread of germs and to keep the dogs healthy. We also perform routine detail cleaning throughout the day to maintain our high standards. We are also constantly cleaning and refilling our shared water bowls. You can say we are a little OCD about our cleanliness. 

Staff: Our staff is caring, attentive and trained to positively reinforce wanted behavior through rewards.  Employees are required to take Pet First Aid/CPR administered by the American Red Cross and must meet requirements regarding knowledge of canine breeds, behavior, training, and general wellness.

DAYCARE PRE-REQUISITES:

1. All DOGS must be 30 lbs and under. PUPPIES must be at least 4 months old. ALL DOGS must be spayed or neutered by 7 months old.

2. ALL DOGS must have flea and tick protection from March - November.

3. ALL DOGS must show proof of vaccination against the following:

• Rabies Certificate (signed) **NYS requires us to have a Rabies Certificate on file signed by the vet that includes type of vaccine, duration of immunity, name of the manufacturer, lot number and expiration date.** 

• Distemper + Parvovirus (DA2+ CPV)

• Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

• Canine Influenza (H3N2 and H3N8)

• Vaccinations must be complete at least two days before coming into Wag Club.

TO BEGIN:

1. Fill out Daycare Registration Form and send to info@wagclubny.com. Registration Form can be found under our Registration Tab. Please also include Vaccination Certificate from Vet with everything listed under #3 (above).

2. Schedule a Temperament Test. Once we have received both your Registration Form, as well as your Vaccination Certificate, we will email or call you to schedule an appointment once your application is approved and your information is in our system. Temp tests are Free and usually 3-4 hours long. We always want the best for your pup, so if they are not right for Wag Club, or if their needs are different than what we can offer, we will call you immediately for pick up.

PLEASE NOTE: We LOVE big dogs! But - due to space limitations - we can only accept new dogs under 30 lbs for Daycare. Big dogs just need more space. We are always happy to offer suggestions and other options, so please feel free to inquire! We love supporting our local dog daycare community.
